Teaching students in person, behind plexiglass, while wearing masks is interesting in that when we meet new people, we see half of their face. If the student schedules an online lesson, everyone sees each other’s complete face for the first time. Just noting how we as humans rely on viewing an entire face upon meeting people. You develop a working relationship while masked then think “I didn’t expect them to look like that” even though you’ve been sitting near them for weeks or months.
